Vel Tech Vinayakar Chaturthi & Teacher's Day Celebrations 2016
Ganesh Chaturthi is one of the
major Hindu festivals which is celebrated to mark the birthday of God Ganesha.
Ganesh Chartuthi is observed in the month of August or September which is also
the month of Bhaadrapada on the shukla chaturthi which is also the fourth day
of the waxing moon. The festival lasts 10 days and is celebrated with
great enthusiasm and devotion.
Ganesha Chathurthi was Celebrated
in Veltech Engineering College with a lot of enthusiasm and fun. It began
with a Ganesha Pooja and followed by that one of our staff recited Ganesha Pancharatnam. At the
end, Lord Ganesha’s prasadam was distributed to all the students. The students
were in high spirits as they celebrated this festival in the college.
Teachers and the teaching
profession contribute more to the future of a nation than all the other
professions put together. Teachers handle wet clay in the form of students and
shape the future citizens who are morally correct, responsible and good human
beings. Veltech Engineering College has celebrated ‘Teacher’s Day’ celebrations
very exuberantly on 5th September, 2015 which is well known as Dr. Sarvepalli
Radha Krishnan’s birth anniversary and who is a great politician, philosopher,
educator, inspirer and a great teacher. This was followed by a cultural program
which consisted of a vibrant array of performances.
Some of the faculty members were
then presented with a gift as a token of
appreciation for their hard work and constructive support. The program ended
with a vote of thanks and thus overall the event was a great success.
