EPSCCON’2K16
The 6th National Conference EPSCCON’2K16 was held on 17th September, 2016 jointly organized by Department of EEE & ECE. EPSCCON refers to “Embedded System, Power System, Signal Processing, Communication System and Control System” and it aims to provide a nationally respected Forum for scientific researches in the cutting edge of technology. The event theme is based on Inspiring Innovation Aspiring Ideas”.
The Inaugural address is given by our Chief Guest Dr.R.P Goswami, Director and Scientist ‘F’, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India, New Delhi.  He addressed the gatherings about the researches in Renewable Energy and motivated the students to prepare innovative project proposals. Also we had Guest of Honor Ms.Archana Rajamanickam, Manager – Human Resource, e-con Systems India Pvt. Ltd., Chennai, she gave a speech on how improve the soft skills and to have positive attitude and fundamentals of their respective subjects. Also she explained what the world expects from a student and showcased how the aspirations of students have changed over time, comparing that of her own time with the current times. Her speech was inspired the students and also had interactive session.
 The conference brought together over 140 participants and had nearly 50 technical paper presentations. The presentation topics are based on the recent trends in Engineering and Technology. This conference brought enormous potential to stimulate educational opportunities for the researchers, academicians and post graduate students for the departments of EEE and ECE.
During the valedictory function there was a certificate distribution to the participants and cash award for the winners. And on the whole the conference was completed successfully with the support of our Management, Principal, Faculties and the Students.

6th National Conference INOMAS'16



INOMAS’16
The 6th National Conference INOMAS’16 (INNOVATION IN MACHINERY & STRUCTURES) was held on 3rd September, 2016. The colloquium aims to support current interest and development in the various disciplines of Engineering. The regime of INOMAS '16 organized by the departments of Civil & MECHANICAL Engineering. The conference brings the engineers on a common platform to share their innovations on recent development in the broadened field of engineering.
The Inaugural address is given by our Chief Guest Mr.P.V.VASANTHA KUMAR, Chief Human Resource Officer at AVT Group Companies Chennai.  He addressed the gatherings about how the Educational system of India affect the Economy of India & its impact in the National growth. He also Enlighten the students on various aspects regarding to their career and the art of possessing the gained knowledge forever. 
The participants from various colleges across Tamil Nadu to enhance their knowledge in various field of Civil & Mechanical Engineering on the topic of “EFFECT OF HOT AIR CURING ON GREEN NATURAL BINDERS USING CATALYTIC SOLUTIONS” in Civil & “ POWER GENERATION FROM THE EXHAUST OF IC-ENGINE” in Mechanical Engineering through the conference. It was a nice experience for the organizers to witness such an remarkable performance by the participants, where as for the participants it proves to be a useful event to show case their various talent in the technical field conducted by the Departments of CIVIL & MECHANICAL ENGINEERING.
The conference was summed up with a valedictory function in which the winners were awarded followed by distribution of participation certificate to the participants along with the cash prizes. The conference was completed successfully with the support of our Management, Principal, Faculties and the Students.

Inter Group Competition (IGC) - Basketball

Inter Group Competition (IGC) - Basketball
State Level camp of NCC National Games - Inter Group Competition (IGC) - Basketball. Camp was held at Pondicherry in the month of August 2016. Our Group Madras 'A' team secured Second Place in the Basketball Competition.

LCPL Sanjeevan from Vel Tech College II year Mechanical Department participated in the camp. He performed very well in the competition. He was appreciated by Pondicherry Camp Commandant.
